KT200II FAQ: Versions, Offline Use, Compatibility and Shipping
Updated 22 September 2026. This FAQ answers the questions our customers ask most often before buying or using KT200II.
What is KT200II used for?
KT200II reads and writes supported engine and transmission control units. Depending on the exact ECU and software driver, it can work through OBD, Bench, Boot, BDM, JTAG or Full System mode.
KT200II does not edit tuning files. File editing is a separate job. Before any read or write, check the exact ECU entry in the current software and use the mode shown there.
Which KT200II version should I buy?
| Version | Choose it when |
|---|---|
| Auto | You mainly work on supported cars and trucks and can use the online software. |
| Full | You also need supported motorcycle, tractor or marine categories. |
| Full with Offline Workstation | You need the Full categories and a compatible offline working option. |
The version name does not guarantee support for a particular ECU. Send us the ECU details before ordering if one specific job is important to you.

Can KT200II work offline?
Yes, but only with a compatible Full-version device, the correct KT200II offline dongle and the matching software. Initial installation or activation may still need an internet connection. Updates or license maintenance may also require internet access later.
An offline dongle does not turn Auto into Full, and it does not add unsupported ECUs.
How do I confirm ECU compatibility?
Send us:
- vehicle make, model, year, engine and market;
- a clear photo of the complete ECU or TCU label;
- hardware and software numbers, if available;
- the job you need: identification, read, write or recovery check;
- the mode you want to use, if already known.
We will compare those details with the current software entry. A result from a similar vehicle is not enough because the ECU, processor or software revision may be different.

What is included in the package?
Package contents depend on the version and current bundle. Check the written order line for the main unit, Bench Box, OBD leads, pinout loom, adapters, power leads, offline dongle and carrying case.
Product photos may show a different bundle. If an accessory is essential, ask us to confirm it before payment.
Can I install KT200 software on KT200II?
No. KT200 and KT200II use different software. Install only the package supplied for your device generation and version.
If the software does not open, save the complete error message before reinstalling. Send us the software build, Windows version, Device Manager status and dongle state. Do not install random drivers or repeatedly reinstall before recording the error.
How long does shipping take?
Our shipping policy says orders are normally processed within three business days. Standard shipping is estimated at 7–15 business days. Shipping charges are shown at checkout.
These are estimates. Weekends, holidays, customs, weather and carrier delays can change the delivery date.
What should I send to support?
Send your order number, device model and version, serial number privately, software build, Windows version, full error message, ECU label, selected mode and log file. Tell us what happened immediately before the error and what checks you already completed.
Do not post serial numbers, license keys or customer files in public comments.
Compare the available versions in our KT200II version guide, then check the current options on the KT200II product page.
Use KT200II only on vehicles and control units you are authorized to service. This FAQ is not a pinout or wiring guide.
